COMMUNITY PICK UP TIMES AND LOCATIONS
Home Goods & Furniture Donation Guidelines
Next Chapter believes that everyone deserves a comfortable home with quality furnishings. Our showroom is stocked with new and gently used home goods and furnishings supplied by donation. Thank you for providing only items that have been previously loved, but still in good condition.
ALL ITEMS MUST BE:
New or gently used
No stains, rips, holes, major dents or scratches, broken glass, or major chips

In addition to the new or gently used items listed below, we have a small category of items that are always needed in new condition only:
Cleaning supplies – disinfectant sprays, dish soap, window cleaner, toilet cleaner, etc.
Laundry Detergent
Toilet paper, paper towels, paper napkins
Pet Food (within expiration date)
Buckets
BATHROOM
Towels should be in good condition.
Shower curtains – gently used cloth curtains, plastic liners must be new
Shower curtain rings – must be set of 10 – 12
Shower rods – tension rods only
Toothbrush holders, soap holders, etc… should be in good condition
Toilet paper, tissue, cleaning supplies – new only
BEDROOM
*New mattresses only
Metal bed frames – no wood, please*
Nightstands and dressers
Sheets must be a full matching set, labeled with the size, and clean with no stains, rips or holes
Comforters, duvet covers, etc… must be labeled with size, and clean with no stains, rips or holes
Pillows must be in good condition with no stains, rips or holes
*New mattresses and non-wood bed frames are requested to prevent the spread of bed bugs. Thank you for your understanding.
CHILDREN’S FURNITURE & TOYS
Must be in good condition and all pieces included
No car seats
ELECTRONICS
Must be in good working order
All parts must be included
HOME DECOR
Framed artwork, canvas art, etc.
Vases, clocks, lamps, etc.
KITCHEN
Dishes – No large chips or cracks.
Utensils and silverware
Towels, cloth napkins, wash rags, etc… must be new or gently used
Table & chairs – all sizes
Paper towels, napkins, cleaning supplies – new only
Small appliances – must be in working order and contain all pieces
LIVING ROOM
Bookcases should have all shelves and shelf holders and in good condition
End tables, coffee tables, etc. should be in good condition with minimal scratches
Lamps should be in good condition and in working order – light bulbs optional
Couches, chairs, etc. must be in good condition, no stains, rips or tears
PET SUPPLIES
Beds, houses, cages, etc.
Bowls, feeders, etc
Pet toys – new only
Unopened pet foods within expiration date
RUGS AND BLANKETS
All should be clean and free from stains, rips, holes or tears
Any size blankets
Area rugs no larger than 8’ x 10’
SPORTING EQUIPMENT & OUTDOOR ITEMS
Any balls should be free from holes/punctures
Sets must contain all pieces
Patio furniture must be in good condition – no tears, stains, etc.
Volunteer Opportunities
